"I was directly affected by Amyotrophic Lateral
Sclerosis
(ALS), Lou Gehrig's Disease, when
Robin Fisher Posler,
my 41 year old cousin,
passed away March 15, 2004
after battling ALS
for 3 years. Robin's husband, my
cousin Clay,
had to give up his occupation to care for his
dying wife. The physical, emotional and financial
drain
was overwhelming. Clay continues to be
involved in
raising of funds for research into this
disorder, and in the
care of afflicted patients.
Due to my heightened awareness of this disease,
I became involved with MDA
Fill The Boot last year
in the hope of making a difference.
I hope you all can take a moment to consider the
impact
you can have by donating one day to help
raise funds
and awareness for a very worthy cause.
